USA Women’s Masters Team Win Gold in Bratislava, Slovakia
Congratulations to the USA Master’s (35+) Division Gold Medal winners on bringing the title back to the states after defeating Canada 2-1 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Lindsey Machak opened up the scoring in the second period. Canada quickly tied the game at 1 after putting home a loose ball at the goal crease. Lauren Gifford scored, what became, the golden goal on the Power Play late in the second period. After a missed empty net attempt, and a late penalty in the third, the U.S. Women were able to solidify the win.
This marks the second gold medal for the Women’s Masters program (2025 and 2022), and the third straight ISBHF World Masters Championship Gold Medal Game appearance.
Special thanks to General Manager Cherie Stewart, Head Coach Shannon Doyle, Assistant Coaches Sarah Hughson and Elena Orlando, Video Coach Sophia Agostinelli, Athetic Trainer Ashley Robbins, Equipment Manager RJ Gibbs, and Social Media Star Jacqueline Pochadt for all of their hard work and dedication to setting the players up for success.
