MASSAPEQUA, NY – Over Columbus Day weekend, USA Ball Hockey and member league Dek Superstars partnered up on Long Island to bring a free ball hockey clinic to local children and their families!

Long Island has long been one of ball hockey’s best kept secrets for decades, boasting countless leagues and generations of players over the years. Dek Superstars, located in the heart of Long Island, is continuing that tradition by hosting youth programming year-round and venturing into adult leagues after their successful first two seasons as a partner of the NBHL. Owner Sebastian Giarratano’s dedication to continuing the legacy of the sport on Long Island led him to become one of USA Ball Hockey’s first official partners! Learn more about Dek Superstars here.

Kids ages 4-12 came out Saturday morning to learn skills and drills with all different levels of experience! Volunteer players from USA Ball Hockey’s Team New York Future Stars boys and girls teams showed up to assist the coaches and set a good example for the young athletes. Even Sal Ippolito, a Long Island native, made the trip back East from his current home in Seattle to volunteer his time with the next generation of ball hockey players. Thank you to all who attended, volunteered, and supported our mission of growing the game at the youth level!

This was the last Grow the Game Day session of 2025! If your community is interested in hosting a free Grow the Game Day clinic with USA Ball Hockey, please email info@usaballhockey.com to get in contact with us!
