What a Day in Music City!
Nashville, TN – USA Ball Hockey’s Grow the Game Day made its way to Nashville, and what a day it was!
Grow the Game Days are all about filling the rink, exposing a region to this beautiful sport, and bringing joy to young players in the community through ball hockey while giving new players an opportunity. Nearly 100 young athletes came out in close to 100-degree heat to play, learn, and have fun, with many experiencing ball hockey for the very first time. The experience went far beyond the rink.
Thanks to an incredible group of partners, the day day was special on and off of the rink. Participants went home with sticks and hockey balls from Knapper, shirts from 2n10 & USA Ball Hockey, backpacks full of school supplies from Ball Hockey Boot Camp, quality hockey instruction, and memories that will last forever!
Our friends at NHL STREET showed up to help provide NHL branded pocket folders and hockey cards, while 8-members of the Preds Street Crew along with our new bestie, Gnash, came to coach and giveaway Preds sticks along with other merchandise. Gamers were ecstatic to see the Predators PS5 NHL gaming truck roll up for some post clinic cool down entertainment.
We owe a massive thank you to the Nashville Predators team lead by Sydney MacFarlane, NHL STREET leaders Sean Whyte and Courtney Deena, Tennessee State University Men’s Ice Hockey Head Coach Duanté Abercrombie, Knapper, 2n10, and of course our host Ashley Mouzzon and her Ball Hockey Boot Camp team.
Most importantly, thank you to every child and family who came out for the fun! “Will there be more opportunities for my child to play ball hockey again,” was commonly asked among the families in attendance. We are happy to share that there are plans for a few more clinics in 2026 and discussions to begin a youth league in Nashville.
