Cherie Stewart Named GM of 2025 Women’s Masters National Team
Stewart has been appointed as the General Manager of the USA Women’s Masters National Ball Hockey Team for the 2025 season.
Stewart boasts an impressive career in USA Ball Hockey, having previously represented the USA Women’s Ball Hockey National Team from 2015 to 2022, receiving silver medals in 2017 and 2019, and earning an All-Star team selection in 2019. Additionally, Stewart was a key player for the USA Women’s Masters Team from 2018 to 2023, clinching a gold medal in 2022 and silver medals in 2018 and 2023. She earned Best Scorer and Best Forward awards in 2018, as well as the Best Forward award in 2023.
Stewart excelled in NCAA Hockey at Manhattanville College, earning both 1st and 2nd Team All-American honors. She set collegiate records with 177 points and 101 goals. She also played in the inaugural season of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) for the New York Riveters.
Stewart’s dedication to hockey development extends beyond playing. She’s been involved in coaching and refereeing both adult and youth hockey programs, notably as the head coach of Team New York U16 Girls team within the USA Ball Hockey program. Stewart also volunteered coaching with organizations such as the Los Angeles Kings, Ice Hockey in Harlem, New York City Skyliners, and Women’s Ball Hockey NYC.
