In a thrilling ball hockey matchup, the game saw a dynamic display of skill and teamwork, with Jordan Albright, Drew Albright, and Brandon Jones leading the charge for their team.
The game started with intense back-and-forth action, with both teams striving to gain the upper hand. It was Brandon Jones who broke the deadlock, finding the back of the net with a patient move that left the opposing goalie with no chance. His goal set the tone for the match, energizing his team and fans alike.
Not long after, Jordan Albright showcased his offensive prowess. He maneuvered past defenders with ease, displaying remarkable stick-handling skills before slotting the ball off a defenders foot in the back of the net. The Albright brothers were proving to be a formidable duo on the court.
As the game progressed, Brandon Jones stepped up again with the help of his running mates Cory Frederickson and Korey Wilson and made a significant impact. This trio has been dominating NBHL and the Men’s A Tournament Scene for years, its great to see their success translate to flawlessly.
The Albrights weren’t finished yet. In the final period, Drew capitalized on a defensive error, taking a great pass up the middle towards the goal. With a strong shot and quick rebound finish, he would solidify his team’s dominance and seal the victory.
Despite a barrage of shots throughout the game and 4 short handed opportunities, the team stood strong behind the brick wall of Robby Snyder and would eventually end up with the big 4-2 win over the host Swiss.
Head Coach Cory Herschk commented saying “Nice to get a win under our belt. That’s never easy to do because of the competitive nature of this tournament, but we have work to do and parts to improve on, for sure. We will look at the film, discuss special teams, and rest up on our day off to be as prepared as we can be for Finland.”
